Sydney offers
some very exciting estuary (within Sydney Harbour) and reef
fishing (from Longreef to Bondi and up to 5 miles offshore). You
never really know what you're going to catch. Estuary and reef
fishing is available all year round and most of the species make
excellent eating. You can expect to catch Snapper, Morwong,
Trevally, Kingfish, Jew fish, Leatherjacket.... and the list
goes on and on!
Alongside
is a magnificent 'Old Man Red'; note the big hump on its head
from smashing coral reefs to get to tasty prawns, lobsters and
other crustaceans. No wonder they taste so good - look what the
eat!
These fish are
undisputedly one of our finest table fish.
Snapper are a
favourite off Sydney's headlands and offshore reefs. They
fight hard, and flash absolutely magnificent colours as they
come toward the boat. These fish are readily taken all
year round, with the best times being from September through to
March.
Another
favourite reef species are Mulloway, or Jew Fish as they are
commonly called. These fish grow upwards of 100 pounds in
weight, but off the reefs, the most common is between 15 and 20
pounds.
Some fishermen
can go all their lives without catching a Mulloway, but pictured
alongside is yet another successful day aboard Alliehunter.
Just check out the smiles on their faces!
Mulloway also
make excellent table fish. The flesh is very white,
beautifully flaked and a delight on the pallet.
Estuary and reef
charters cater for maximum of 10 people (groups & individuals
welcome) and are half day.

don't miss out. Click on the 'Bookings' tab above to secure
